Living Deeper Lives with Steven Webb

Do you ever have one of those days when everything seems to be happening at once? Whether it's your children pulling out your clothes, the boss wanting your attention, or your mind just working overtime? Then if you haven't got enough on your plate, the phone rings! It's your mum, with a relatively minor problem but wants to talk about it for the next three hours. I get it, and I love my mum too! Stillness in the Storms of Life podcast is about seeing life differently, and creating an awareness with tools, and structures that will help you to navigate and enjoy calmness when you need it.

This has to be the most difficult story I've ever told.
How do we talk about suicide? It is something many of us think about at least once in our lives, yet we don't know how to approach the subject of suicide. When happens it devastates everybody involved, it leaves a wake of hurt and pain, disbelief and confusion like nothing else.
Can suicide be prevented?
Is there something we can do when we feel someone is suicidal?

It's no secret that I am severely paralysed, I broke when neck when I was 18. It left me a C5 complete tetraplegic/quadriplegic which means my arms and legs are both paralysed. To be honest, most of my body is paralysed.
It's not something I focus on a lot or at least is not something that I share very often. Yes, I say I'm paralysed, but to go into detail like I have in this podcast is something entirely different.
am a C5 complete tetraplegic/quadriplegic. This is my morning routine, I don't normally share such vulnerability however I think it's time I did.

Do you ever wonder what your fundamental core values are?
Things like honesty, integrity, understanding, compassion, hard-working, and loyal to name just a few.
We all have them, and we all expect others to also have these core values. Especially in the way they treat us.
However, do you have your set few? And do you really show up as them in every aspect of your life?
Those are the questions I ask in this podcast.
I'm Steven Webb - Inner Peace Mentor your host, and if you support my work it would be amazing if you could treat me to a coffee or even better helping out on a monthly basis with just $3 via supportsteven.com

I've spent most of my life trying to live up to perfection. With today's Internet and peer pressure going global the pressure has never been so high to perform and be the best possible version of yourself.
Most of the time we have to be even better than that, we have to be perfect.
It's no wonder when we fail to hit that mark we feel demoralised, fed up, and like we are not enough.
In this podcast Steven Webb talks about not being enough, and how it changed in 2019 for him. The strife of protection was literally stopping him doing any of the things he wanted to do. Being paralyse physically is one thing, being mentally paralysed is a whole different story.

One of the hardest things I've had to do since I started to open my heart is to also know what is mine to carry and what isn't.
In this podcast, I talk about the development of empathy, from when you are very young to the higher levels of empathy that very few people manage to get to.
Empathy can really be a great gift, and as the cliche goes it can also be a great burden if we allow it to drown us.
Please enjoy, let me know what you thought. A review would be amazing, and if you could buy me a coffee head over to my website and the link is at the top.

Do you ever wonder who you have become?
In this episode I discussed why that happens, and why we feel very unsatisfied with our lives. Why we become everybody else, instead of that ambitious child that was going to stand out and make a difference.
One of the fundamental things about making changes is your ability to understand how you got to where you are. When you understand how you become this person you do not recognise, you then have the gift of what to do about it.
Your host Steven Webb, explains with a simple analogy of a glass and how we build up this ego of the person we are, and what we need to do about it.
